Ayurvedic Pulse Reading

Key ancient technique to get insight in your overall body and key important organs. It is an important part of the Ashtpariksha the eight fold Ayurvedic diagnosis technique which complement and validate each other. These include Jivha(Tongue), Mootram(Urnine), Mala(Feces), Shabda(Sound), Sparsha(Touch), Druk(Sight & Eyes), Akruti(Physique) and finally Nadi(Pulse). Pulsing is a subjective technique with multiple levels idetifies the imbalance of Vata(Air), Pitta(Fire) and Kapha(Water) elements. At the most basic it picks us the Vikruti(Current) and Prakruti(Innanet) constitution of the body. Thus a Doshic imbalance is identified. Accordingly dies, lifestyle and herbs to increase or decrease a specific Dosha is given.

Ayurveda sees the body as a micro ecosystem with dosha(fault) being the weatherly disturbance in the bodily ecosystem.

Typically slithering Snake like pulse denotes Vata, jumpy Frg like pulse denotes Pitta and heavy slow Swan like pulse denotes Kapha. One can see pulsing were fingers are used as a probe to break the bodily pulses into individual component pulses. This coupled with location and pressure allows a Vaidya to decipher doshic state of important bodily organs from - heart, kidney, lungs, bladder, colon, stomach, liver, gall bladder and spleen

At Ayuah Nadi or Pulse analysis has been used as critical evaluation tool for our students, mentees and clients. You are welcome to book a Nadi session in Rishikesh or part of our global wellness workshops in your town.
